Sources: Newcastle spots on Solanke, the club might sell Woltemade

According to talkSPORT, Newcastle will sell their current striker Nick Woltemade because he is not happy at the club, and Solanke has entered Newcastle's list of signings.

As Tottenham's Premier League woes continue to worsen, team main striker Dominic Solanke has drawn the attention of Premier League rival Newcastle.

It is reported that those teams that have already secured a Premier League spot are planning to "poach" from this troubled London team, and Solanke is Newcastle's key target.

If Tottenham are relegated and forced to sell players, Solanke would be an ideal replacement for the striker.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has worked with the 28-year-old striker at Bournemouth, which could drive a potential transfer.

Woltemad joined as a new signing last summer for £69 million and has had mixed performances since landing at St. James' Park.

He has scored 7 goals in 25 Premier League games, but has not scored in the league since scoring twice against Chelsea on December 20 last year.

Since then, the German has only scored 1 goal in 20 appearances in all competitions.
