Jose Mourinho is reportedly plotting a move to France for the next instalment in his managerial career, but not with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Wednesday's edition of L'Equipe, Mourinho has identified either Lyon or Monaco as his preferred next destination.
Mourinho has been without a club since Manchester United sacked him in December.
Lyon are currently third in the Ligue 1 standings, 24 points behind leaders PSG.
They were knocked out of the Champions League last-16 by Barcelona with a 5-1 aggregate scoreline.
Monaco, meanwhile, have had a tumultuous season where they replaced manager Leonardo Jardim with Thierry Henry, only to return to Jardim when Henry failed to galvanise the side.
They are 16th in Ligue 1, eight points clear of the bottom three but L'equipe suggest it is unlikely Mourinho will head there as he shares the same agent as Jardim.
Mourinho was linked with a return to Real Madrid earlier this year as pressure mounted on Santiago Solari.
But the Spanish giants instead went for another former manager in Zinedine Zidane.

He'll love such a challenge. Knocking PSG off the pecking order. But I don't think those two teams will be he's likely destinations. Monaco worst of all. Monaco has a project which is aimed at grooming young talent and we all know Jose's story when it comes to making an impact. He'll want the most experienced and matured guys around. Lyon...perhaps but still a zero percent chance he's going to go there. PSG will have been he's likely destination but Tuchel just got an extension again
