Coutinho would consider Man Utd move if Barca situation continues (MD)

Philippe Coutinho will reportedly consider his Barcelona future in the summer if his situation doesn't change.

The Brazilian only joined Barca from Liverpool a year ago but things have not gone as hoped at the Nou Camp.

Coutinho's struggles have led to reports that the La Liga leaders could be prepared to cash in to fund a sensational return for Neymar.

Manchester United are among the clubs said to be monitoring Coutinho and reports in Spain suggested they had made contact with his representatives to discuss his availability.

It remains to be seen if Coutinho would make a move to Old Trafford given his spell at Anfield.

Mundo Deportivo reports Coutinho is unhappy with his situation at Barca - but he is not looking to give up on his dream just yet.

Coutinho and his family are settled in Catalunya and he doesn't plan on seeking a move away.

However, he may well be forced into a rethink at the end of the season if things don't change under boss Ernesto Valverde.

Coutinho will hope to be involved when Barca take on Eibar on Sunday with Valverde discussing the former Liverpool man this week.

"Coutinho has played some great games with us and we hope he will continue to do so," he said.

“I look more at what he does well, the same with Dembele or Arturo Vidal. It was a tough match the other day in which we lost, sure, but has to help us take a step forward.”
