Juventus have no plans to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a contract extension in the near future despite the Portugal star approaching the final year of his deal in Turin.
The former Real Madrid star was widely criticised this week after turning his back on the goal which effectively knocked Juve out of the Champions League.
And now the club's chief football officer, Fabio Paratici, has said they will not rush to tie Ronaldo down, instead choosing to let him consider his options.
He told Sky Italia: 'Fortunately, there's a year left on his contract; we have time eventually to discuss it with him.
'Let's just say it's not on the agenda right now.'
A move to America and Major League Soccer is likely to appeal to Ronaldo should he choose to let his contract with Juventus expire in 2022.
And Paratici admits the club will be powerless to stop him leaving, should he decide to begin 'another experience' elsewhere.
'Cristiano has his career in his hands,' he added.
'Always with these great players you know that when they decide to end their experience with one team and move on to another experience, it's they who decide, and you have to respect that decision.
'We have to consider how he will feel in order to continue or not once his contract expires.'

He needs to leave Juventus because I see no team work. Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't deserve what he is going through now. one man can't win a match.

Ronaldo should leave at the end of the season without wasting more time in this pathetic club.

Juve brought Ronaldo but failed to bring a good creative midfielder who can create Goalscoring chances. Players like Ozil, Di Maria, Kroos, Modric groomed in the presence of Ronaldo. But at Juve they don't such quality player. Rabiot, Auther, Bentecur, Mac all are defensive/holding midfielder. Give Ronaldo player like De Bruyne or Pogba and see what happens.
