Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could face Paris Saint-Germain with only one fit striker in Daniel Sturridge due to doubts over Roberto Firmino, Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi.
Firmino sustained an abrasion of the eye during a clash with Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen in Saturday's 2-1 win at Wembley, while Solanke and Origi picked up knocks in an Under 23 match against Swansea.
Asked if Firmino would be available to take on the French side, Klopp said: 'He couldn't play today, no chance, but we are hoping tomorrow.
'It is good news it will be close. It was a big relief for all of us.'
Should Firmino fail in his fitness battle, Sturridge could make his first Champions League start for Liverpool.
'He will be ready,' Klopp said. 'If Bobby can't play, Dom (Solanke) and Divock (Origi) can't, then we are short of options. They got little injuries in the under-23 game with Swansea.
'But no problem with the first line-up, just options.'
Big-spending PSG have so far failed to deliver in the Champions League but Klopp rates them among the best sides in Europe.
'PSG are one of the favourites for the competition,' he added.
'I don't want to play mind games, this side is built for winning the Champions League with the unbelievable quality they have.'
Neymar is expected to return after he, along with Kylian Mbappe, sat out Friday's 4-0 victory over St Etienne.
Klopp said: 'He was rested at the weekend so he will be 100 per cent fresh for us and we will see the full Neymar package.'

So now if our false 9 Bobby is unavailable then this would be the perfect time to use Shaqiri in place of him......... We bought him this transfer window and since then he has shown his glimpse of talents with Switzerland and with the Stunning bicycle kick so it would be good for us to use him and have that depth ............. Bobby is very vital for our team but due to that unfortunate injury if he misses the game it would be disastrous but we would find a solution for that......... In Klopp we trust........ #YNWA.......
