A look at Arsenal's wage bill in comparison to their rivals

Premier League leaders Arsenal have the smallest wage bill in the 'big six'.
That is according to the Daily Mirror, who claim the Gunners spend £97,878,000 on wages, which is the sixth most in the division. Given the enormity of what their rivals around them spend, that makes Arsenal's current position in the table all the more impressive.
They sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League with 11 matches to play, despite those around them spending a great deal more on player wages. Manchester City are Arsenal's closest rivals at the top but spend almost double that of their title rivals, forking out £182,640,000, with Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne among their highest earners.
That said, it is their points advantage over Chelsea and Manchester United that is arguably more impressive in the context of each side's respective wage bills. The two transfer market powerhouses spend well over double the amount Arsenal do on wages, with the Blues just about the highest.
On top of over £600 million on transfer fees across the last two windows, Chelsea also shell out £212,090,000 on wages, despite sitting 10th in the Premier League and 29 points behind Arsenal. Man United, meanwhile, spend slightly less than that at £211,875,000, but do have slightly more to show for it this season having won the Carabao Cup, as well as sitting third in the table, but still 16 points adrift of the Gunners.
Arsenal's wage bill in comparison to those around them is all the more evidence of the impressive project Mikel Arteta is building at the Emirates. The Gunners have not spent more than £50 million on a single player under the Spaniard and though progress had been slow and steady up until this season, they are now reaping the rewards of investing smartly in the market.

no need to talk so much. when arsenal start winning titles and players don't ask for pay raise, then come talk to me.
Sorry, what was your point? I didn't say they won't ask for higher wages if arsenal wins PL. So I'm confused by your comment.

True, wages expenditures should correspond to the successes on the pitch. But why is Man U up there? [Crylaugh]

The most under paid footballers are Brentford. Who earn a seventh of what Chelsea and ManU players earn. Where is the Justus in that also Brighton who have the same points as Liverpool and a game in hand and their players earn one fifth of the Liverpool players, the managers of these clubs should be awarded the Manager of the month and not Ten Hag who presumably have players 7 times better then Brentford

I don't know how some arsenal fans think, they are talking about arsenal players asking for raising on their wage if they win the EPL. This gorilla 🦍 is again telling MAN UTD to win EPL. First read the comments and understand them well before spreading your ugly fingers replying no sense.

How’s Newcastle even more impressive?? They ain’t got that good of a squad and are 4 places below arsenal
That's the reason, because they don't have a good squad and are pushing for Top 4. I feel that they have a good chance of pushing spurs down in my opinion.

I think Newcastle is even more impressive, although things might change after the summer transfer.

Really? ok when Arsenal does win the league this year, you will be seeing those in their final contract year itching for pay raise. Salah, mane wasn't the best paid eithet but when they help to win the league and UCL, they expect more reward. that's just normal human being .
