Footage has appeared of an out-of-shape Tanguy Ndombele struggling to play for Galatasaray following a remarkable transformation.
The Frenchman joined Tottenham from Lyon for Β£65million in 2019 and to this day remains the club's record transfer.
But he failed to live up to expectations and spent last season on loan at Napoli before being loaned to Galatasaray last summer.
Ndombele has played just 385 minutes of league football for the Turkish side so far this season, with many reports suggesting he has struggled for fitness.
And footage from a cup match against Umraniye, which Ndombele was involved in, appeared to prove just that.
The 27-year-old midfielder looks to have put on weight as he struggled to drag himself across the pitch.
Issues with his fitness were raised by Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou before the start of the campaign. The Australian told football.london that Ndombele was among the Tottenham players who were 'a little bit physically behind the rest as well you know'.
Postecoglou added that 'the way we play there's a bit that I need to be strong on and that is that you've got to be at a certain physical level to play this kind of football'.
Ndombele has been dogged by concerns over his weight throughout his career and has regularly struggled with his fitness.
Former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho publicly called out Ndombele after hauling him off at half-time in a draw at Burnley, while ex-Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit in 2020 also slated the midfielder and claimed he was overweight.
Galatasaray is his fourth club in four years after failed loan spells with Napoli and Lyon following his arrival at Spurs.

I am sorry to think differently. I think Ndombele wants to play, wants to be top top player and win. However, like Dele Alli, Ndombele seems to be going through some challenges mentally and psychologically. Let's reach out to him. It happens a lot with athletes. I remember Simon Biles going off for over a year to deal with mental issues. CR7 too met a psychologist just after his moment with Man U before returning to his form in Saudi. Recently, Richarlison had therapy for mental health issues. Ndombele is going through something.

It is a shame how some players can not remain professional and in good shape. I wonder if anyone forced them to become football player π€

Ndombele was linked with ManCity before his move to Tottenham. Manchester City dodged a bullet here. A fat bullet to be precise.
