Tottenham have limited time remaining if they want to register any potential new signings for Saturday's Premier League away clash at Burnley

Following Tuesday evening's disappointing Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Fulham, Tottenham return to action this weekend with a tricky away fixture at Burnley on the agenda. Given the almighty blow of falling at the first hurdle in a competition the Lilywhites potentially could have gone far in, Ange Postecoglou needs his team to bounce back in the best way possible by collecting all three points at Turf Moor.

Now in the final two days of the summer transfer market, clubs have until 11pm on Friday to complete any remaining business. Tottenham look set to be extremely active ahead of the deadline as a couple of fresh faces could come in as a number of the current squad head out of the door.

If Tottenham do indeed add to their squad prior to the 11pm deadline and want new signings to be involved at Burnley, they will need to have registered them by midday on Friday. Premier League rules stipulate that players must be registered by 12pm the working day before a game in order for them to play.

If Postecoglou wants a new signing to be involved in the game at Turf Moor, Spurs now have less than 24 hours remaining to sign them and register them before the aforementioned deadline. However, it's hard to see any signing making their debut from the off at Burnley due to a lack of time working under Postecoglou on the training pitch at Hotspur Way.

If new signings aren't to be involved in the game in Lancashire, their next opportunity to make their Spurs bow will come on Saturday, September 16 when the Lilywhites face Sheffield United at home after the first international break of the season.
