Chelsea suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Arsenal in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final, crashing out of the competition with a 4-2 aggregate loss. Blues centre-back Wesley Fofana was reduced to tears after the final whistle, and Arsenal legend Paul Merson has offered his scathing assessment of the display.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Paul Merson said: “I’m astonished by what I saw. I can’t believe it. This isn’t a side in the bottom five — they’ve got World Cup winners in their ranks.”
“Fofana’s in tears, and he should be, because they didn’t turn up at all. They bowed out of a semi-final with zero fight. That’s just not acceptable. You go out with everything you’ve got, not like this.”

Chelsea gave us a real freight , especially in the second half, they totally dominated. We only managed to get that goal on the counter.

Depends on how you saw it, from the radio commentary I followed it was reported that Chelsea were the better side asking so many questions, infact that was what gave Arsenal the chance for counterattack that led to the goal in the last minute of the game
this is not the point,,, theh needed a goal morethan boosting possession. the coach is the one to blame
