Everton battled to claim a vital 3-1 Premier League win over Chelsea, lifting them out of the bottom three with Duncan Ferguson at the helm.
Match Reports
Duncan Ferguson made an instant impact as Everton's caretaker manager following the sacking of Marco Silva, guiding them to a 3-1 win over Chelsea and lifting them out of the bottom three.
Silva was sacked on Thursday in the wake of a 5-2 hammering in the Merseyside derby but Ferguson's first game at the helm proved there is life in the Toffees yet, with Chelsea losing for the third time in four Premier League matches.
Richarlison got Ferguson's interim reign off to a flying start when heading in after only five minutes, with the Brazilian netting for the third successive Premier League match.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin capitalised on defensive haplessness to make it 2-0 early in the second half and, although Mateo Kovacic's first league goal for Chelsea offered the visitors encouragement, Everton managed to seal the points late on – their English forward getting a second

5' GOAL! Everton 1-0 Chelsea (Richarlison)
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!! RICHARLISON HEADS EVERTON IN FRONT!!! 1-0!!!! The Toffees take the lead as Richarlison converts from close range. Chelsea are cut open at the back down the right flank and Sidibe takes advantage by lifting a cross into the middle. Richarlison attacks the delivery to get there ahead of Christensen, nodding his effort away from Kepa into the back of the net. The perfect start for Ferguson in the dugout.
19' Willian misses chance after Keane howler
Keane makes a huge mistake at the back, losing control to Willian on the edge of the box. The Brazilian finds Abraham, but the pass takes him away from goal. Chelsea try to work the ball in the penalty area, but it's too intricate and Willian's offload heads out for a goal-kick.
25' CLOSE! Abraham's shot wide out
CHANCE! Willian drops his shoulder to burst past Digne down the right flank. He whips a perfect cross towards the near post for Abraham, but the forward just cannot get enough on his strike to divert it into the net, with the ball drifting wide of the left post.
33' Abraham almost catches the vicious cross in box
Willian makes a good run down the right flank, but he cuts the ball back into the middle of the box rather than across the face of goal like Abraham is expecting. Chelsea are just not clicking in the final third.
49' GOAL! Everton 2-0 Chelsea (Calvert-Lewin)
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! CALVERT-LEWIN CONVERTS!!!! 2-0!!!! Everton double their advantage as Calvert-Lewin dispatches a low strike past Kepa. Christensen gets himself in a tangle failing to clear a cross into the box. Zouma cannot help his team-mate losing out to the Everton forward in a 50/50 battle. Calvert-Lewin takes one touch to take it away from the defender before slottiing his effort low into the net. Ferguson bounds down the sideline in joy.
52' GOAL! Everton 2-1 Chelsea (Kovacic)
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! KOVACIC GETS CHELSEA BACK INTO THE GAME!!! 2-1!!!! Pulisic makes a driving run down the left flank, but his cross evades Abraham and Willian in the box. Digne clears as far as the midfielder 20 yards from goal and he connects with a sharp volley on his left foot. It travels towards the bottom-left corner past Abraham - who is onside - and it beats the dive of Pickford to find the net. Game on.
59' Kepa makes a brilliant save
SAVE! Kepa keeps the visitors in the game with a solid stop to deny Walcott. The winger surges past Kante on a counter down the right flank. He goes for an effort from the inside channel, but the Chelsea keeper spreads himself to make the stop.
84' GOAL! Everton 3-1 Chelsea (Calvert-Lewin)
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! CALVERT-LEWIN GETS THE CRUCIAL THIRD FOR EVERTON!!!! 3-1!!! Chelsea give the game away with a number of errors to allow Calvert-Lewin to strike. Kepa hands possession straight to Walcott, who releases his team-mate in the box. Calvert-Lewin backheels towards Davies to keep the attack alive, but Kante makes a good challenge. The Blues try to scramble the loose ball away from danger, but the forward is persistent and blocks Azpilicueta's clearance. He prods it towards goal through the legs of Kepa and into the back of the net. Goodison Park erupts.

Total waste!!! 1. Kepa needs to kicked out of the club 2. Zouma needs to follow kepa 3. We need goal scoring wingers 4. We need creative midfielders 5. Abraham was a waste in today's game 6. Willian needs to leave this club 7. We need 2 great center backs. Our problems are not managers but players that we got.

What an unexpected boost for Everton. They've been a mess this season and Silva's sacking highlighted the plight of this club this season. but what a performance and what a result. Hats off to Duncan Ferguson for lifting them up from 18th to 14th (for the time being atleast)

Chelsea young stars are still in shock Transfer ban. All they are thinking of right now is that mega super star is coming by January. Lampard needs to reassure them that they are safe.
