Red Bull Salzburg starlet Erling Braut Haaland has expressed his delight after matching his father's achievement by scoring against Liverpool at Anfield.
Despite struggling with illness ahead of the game, Haaland was brought on in the 56th minute of the Champions League clash on Wednesday night and proceeded to score just four minutes later.
Although he couldn't prevent his side from losing 4-3 Haaland did follow in the footsteps of his father Alf-Inge, who found the net for Leeds in their 3-1 defeat at Anfield in the Premier League on December 26 1997.
As reported by goal, Haaland said: 'Now I have the same number of goals here.
'He's always telling me 'I scored at Anfield, I scored at Anfield!' Now I can say it back to him: 'So have I'.'
It has been an excellent start to the season for Haaland, who has scored an incredible 18 goals in 11 appearances.
The 19-year-old also made his senior debut for Norway last month and looks set for a bright future.
Alf-Inge Haaland spent much of his career in England, playing for Nottingham Forest and Manchester City as well as Leeds.
