MAN CITY fans were left reeling by the news that steady defender Aymeric Laporte is ruled out to the New Year after undergoing knee surgery.
The French centre-back injured himself during the 4-0 win over Brighton after a challenge with Adam Webster, and is expected to face a length spell out.

And she loves to travel with her girlfriends too.
According to her Instagram, Alexia loves fancy holidays - taking in sights to places including Barcelona, Marbella, Ibiza, Corsica and beyond with her mates.
She even enjoys sunny breaks with her mum and bro, showing off an array of bikinis that adorn her bronzed, sculpted body.
Just like Aymeric, she's clearly a gym buff and into sport, if her dazzling photos are anything to go by.
THE DAY JOB
But when she's not basking in sunshine at a glamorous resort, Alexia does have a day job to go to.
She works in the leisure and tourism industry as an operations leader for a company called Blue Valet in Bordeaux.
They have bases at various airports around Europe, and will pick up your car when you arrive at the airport, park it, then pick you up when you return.
Just a pity Alexia doesn't pick you up herself.
