Andre Silva was unveiled as an RB Leipzig player in front of the media on Friday after joining from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt and completing a five-year deal, but the press conference did not run completely to plan, as it featured a bizarre moment.
The Portuguese striker was left confused as one reporter asked him a series of unusual questions about his compatriot, Cristiano Ronaldo.
"You know Cristiano Ronaldo having shared a dressing room with him... He is a handsome guy," the reporter said.
"Would you like to be as good as him and him his muscles one day?
"Does he smell as good as he looks?"
The reporter added that he had "only smelt [Ronaldo's] perfume," and Silva kept his composure to speak of his admiration for the Juventus forward, whilst declaring that he is focused on his own path.
"If one day I manage to win the trophies that Cristiano [Ronaldo] has won, it would be brilliant," Silva said.
"But I believe that each person has a different path.
"The only thing that I am focused on is trying to do the best that I can.
"It would be good to repeat one thing of everything that Cristiano has demonstrated in his career, and perhaps to achieve it. I'll have to ask him to smell his perfume."
