Borussia Dortmund chief insists he won't budge on valuation of Man Utd target Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund's sporting director has issued a warning to Manchester United over their pursuit of Jadon Sancho.

Michael Zorc insists the German giants' valuation of the England star "would have to be met 100 per cent" to dislodge him from Westfalenstadion.

Sancho is understood to be rated at €120million (£107million) by Dortmund, but recent reports suggest the Red Devils will only pay £50million for the 20-year-old.

The winger enjoyed a glittering Bundesliga campaign, scoring 17 goals and assisting 17 times as Dortmund finished second.

Sancho's performances on the continent have seen him consistently linked with a move to Old Trafford, though Zorc maintains there will be no cut-price deal struck.

He told German outlet Waz per Goal : "Jadon has a valid contract with us and we would be very happy if he is still with us next season.

"To think about anything else at all, the timing would have to be right, and secondly, our price expectations would have to be met 100 per cent."

Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester City's academy in 2017 and is contracted with the club until 2022.

While some believe United's refusal to pay more than £50million for his services is seen as a bargaining ploy, there are reports that up to six players will be sold to finance a larger bid.

Many former Red Devils stars have endorsed the move, including ex-frontman Andy Cole, but Dimitar Berbatov is concerned that recruiting Sancho will limit teenage sensation Mason Greenwood's minutes.

"Looking at how the squad are doing at the moment I don't think signing Sancho is necessary," the former United striker told Mirror Football .

"Look at the front three from the other night, the speed of Martial, Rashford and Greenwood was great to watch, their link up play was fantastic.

"Football is a funny thing, you have a great young player in Sancho, but at the same time you have a great young player in Greenwood.

"United have to question if they are ready to sacrifice and halt the development of Greenwood, one of their own, to bring Sancho in."
