Lyon have entered talks with Angers to sign midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide before the close of the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The 21-year-old has attracted interest from both Monaco and Bayern Munich but it appears Lyon could beat everyone to the punch in signing the youngster.
According to L'Equipe, Lyon have contacted their Ligue 1 counterparts over a potential £18.5million move which could include a sell-on clause.
The French news outlet claim Lyon sporting director Juninho has sent Florian Maurice to negotiate a deal before the transfer window closes on September 2.
Lyon manager Sylvinho is reportedly in the market to sign a versatile defender and an offensive midfielder as he looks to add plenty of depth.
Reine-Adelaide, formerly of Arsenal, is said to favour a move to Lyon over the likes of Monaco because of Champions League football.
