Saul Niguez has often been the man for the big occasion for Atletico Madrid and another stage awaits the midfielder against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Atletico's No.8 feels that any success, however, will come through collective organisation and the right mindset.
"After achieving our goal in LaLiga, it is exciting to be able to continue in this dynamic in the Champions League," Saul told the club's official channels.
"It's a one-off game, different from normal, but we face it with enthusiasm.
"The first week has been tough, we are preparing. This week will be more comfortable.
"We are preparing in the appropriate way to harm the opponent."
Although Atletico usually use the two-legged ties to their tactical advantage, Saul said that the one-off format cannot be used as an excuse.
"You have to accept it and adapt," Saul stated.
"It's 90 minutes, or 120 with extra-time. [We must] deal with it in the best way.
"Within the matches there will be mini-matches. You have to have the right mindset and mental strength.
"Leipzig have many variations on their system on their style of play.
"It will be a surprise as to how they play but we must be solid in defence and do damage on the counter by taking the ball down the flanks.
"The key will be in the small details."
