Solskjaer comments suggest he disagrees with Neville's Man Utd transfer view

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to have suggested that he is in disagreement with Gary Neville ahead of the transfer window.

The Sky Sports pundit had some forthright views on the upcoming summer with a number of targets touted to join Manchester United.

One player that has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford is young winger Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund star was at the centre of a long transfer saga last year but a move failed to materialise.

Another bid is expected for the England international with the Bundesliga outfit admitting that the 21-year-old could leave if the right offer comes in.

Neville insisted a deal was close on Monday Night Football, saying: "“I’m just looking at it now and I’m thinking Sancho comes in, and I think Sancho would play on that right hand side. You’ve potentially got the back-up of Greenwood on that side.

“Up front you’ve got Cavani and Greenwood, and they’ll want Greenwood to come through, because I think he’s outstanding.

“On the left you’ve got Rashford and Martial then Pogba potentially could fit into there if he’s not in midfield.

"I think it’s Sancho and I think that’s their business done.”

But Solskjaer seemed to suggest that Sancho could be ignored this year with Mason Greenwood an important member of the first-team now.

He said after the 2-1 loss to Leicester, which handed the Premier League title to Manchester City: “You know, if you want to take up the challenge with them, of course we have to strengthen our squad.

“Congratulations to [City], they’ve had a fantastic season.

“Very pleased with my boys because they’ve made it into the last 10 days of the season with a Man City team ahead of us that are lauded as the best in Europe.

“We’ve done well, but we want to take the next step and it might be that we need a couple more to have a strong squad.”
