The 15 big summer signings already finalised

  /  autty

It may be August but the 2019/20 season hasn't completely finished yet with Europe's club competitions still needing to be played out.

But even before everything has been wrapped up, a number of Europe's top clubs have already been working on their 2020/21 squads.

There haven't been too many transfers completed as of yet, but some big moves have already happened.

Timo Werner

The German will spearhead Frank Lampard's Chelsea next season after completing his move from RB Leipzig for 53 million euros.

He scored 34 goals and provided 13 assists in 45 games this season and has penned a five-year deal in London.

Hakim Ziyech

Another arrival at Stamford Bridge, this time it's a creator to feed Werner up top.

After shining with Ajax, Ziyech is also London-bound for 40 million euros.

He provided 21 assists and scored eight of his own goals in his last season in the Netherlands and has also signed until 2025.

Ferran Torres

The Spaniard is leaving Valencia for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola for just 23 million euros, and 12 more in variables.

He has the ability to be one of the signings of the summer.

Nathan Ake

Manchester City have turned to relegated Bournemouth to strengthen at the back, spending 45 million euros on the Dutchman.

Suited to Pep's style, Ake is useful on the ball and a good physical presence as well.

Miralem Pjanic

One of the first deals done this summer was Pjanic's swap deal to join Barcelona.

Officially, the Catalans paid Juventus 60 million euros to sign the Bosnian despite being 30 years old.

He'll add another option for freekicks as well and he should slot in nicely at the Camp Nou.

Trincao

Another early move done by Barcelona, this time paying 31 million euros to Braga for the youngster.

The Portuguese has it all, from pace and dribbling to a decent strike and he's scored 10 goals and assisted eight this season in 39 appearances.

Alvaro Negredo

Cadiz are back in Spain's top tier and Negredo has joined them.

He's back from time with Besiktas and Al-Nasr and will be hungry for goals.

Leroy Sane

It happened a year later than Bayern Munich would have liked, but they've got their man now for 45 million euros.

The winger will bring a lot to Bavaria and, at 24, he has time on his hands.

Jude Bellingham

A move that stirred up a lot of excitement in England as the 17-year-old left Birmingham for Borussia Dortmund.

It's still early days in his career but the Germans have seen enough to pay 23 million euros to sign him and Birmingham retired his No.22.

Thomas Meunier

The Belgian was one of the first moves to happen, signing for Dortmund on a free transfer.

At 28 he still has a lot left in the tank, too.

Alexander Nubel

Another free transfer, this time from Schalke to Bayern to act as Manuel Neuer's backup.

He signed before Neuer had renewed his contract though and he'll want to battle for the No.1 shirt.

Arthur Melo

Going the opposite way to Pjanic, the Brazilian joined the Italian champions for 72 million euros.

Lionel Messi labelled him "the new Xavi" and Barcelona might regret this sale.

Achraf Hakimi

Another sale that might be regretted in the future as Real Madrid let the Moroccan join Inter for 40 million euros.

He's shone at Borussia Dortmund and looks ready made for Antonio Conte's Nerazzurri, where he'll play until 2025.

Victor Osimhen

Napoli splashed out 70 million euros to sign the Nigerian 21-year-old.

He scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 games with Lille last season and looks a real talent.

Mauro Icardi

The Argentine has made his loan move permanent.

He scored 20 goals last season and Edinson Cavani's exit has prompted Paris Saint-Germain to spend 50 million euros to sign him outright.
