According to Ignazio Genuardi, Tottenham Hostpur could make a move for Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram (25) in January, despite his contract expiring in the summer.

A wide range of clubs are interested in the striker, who is currently competing in the World Cup with France. In England, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Arsenal have all been linked with the player. Mönchengladbach’s Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich have also been heavily linked with a move for the player, whilst in Italy, Inter Milan are said to be interested.

Despite Thuram’s contract expiring in the summer. Mönchengldbach are demanding a high fee for the player. According to Genuardi, the German club want €20m, and the player himself expects to earn €10m per year at his eventual destination.

According to Thuram himself, he intends to see out the current season at Mönchengladbach, however, a lucrative offer this winter, potentially from Tottenham, could change that situation.
