Aston Villa are looking to take advantage of their promotion back to the Premier League after being relegated in 2016.

The 1982 European Cup winners are currently the Premier League's top spenders in this summer transfer window.

"Our criteria is to buy young players with Premier League experience and with potential to improve," said coach Dean Smith, who is assisted by John Terry.

Villa have spent 93.1 million euros on Wesley (25 million euros), Tyrone Mings (22.3 million euros), Matt Targett (15.6 million euros), Ezri Konsa (13.3 million euros), Ahmed El Ghazi (9 million euros), Jota (4.5 million euros) and Kortney Hause (3.4 million euros).

That total of 93.1 million euros puts them ahead of Manchester City's 90 million euros and makes them the biggest spenders in England's top flight.
