Betting Tips: West Brom vs Sheffield United

The Blades head to the Hawthorns to face one of their promotion rivals in a game that is sure to have huge consequences come the end of the season

West Brom host Sheffield United in a game that could have a huge say on who is in the Premier League next season.

The Blades and the Baggies are both in excellent form and will be eyeing an automatic promotion spot at the end of this campaign.

West Brom are favourites with the game taking place at the Hawthorns and odds of 13/10 (2.30) are available on a home win at bet365. The Blades are only slight outsiders at 21/10 (3.10) and the draw is priced up at 11/5 (3.20) .

The visitors come into this match with a couple of injury concerns; Jack O'Connell faces a late fitness test as does George Baldock.

West Brom saw Matty Phillips return from injury against QPR so could be in line for a start here. The Baggies' only injury concern is James Morrison, who has been missing since the start of the year but he could make the bench against Sheffield United.

We could be looking at two future Premier League teams in this fixture. Heading towards the business end of the season this game will be highlighted by both sides as a real chance to gain a foothold in the promotion race.

This spells the end of what was considered the toughest run of fixtures this season for Chris Wilder's men, with draws against Aston Villa and Norwich coming before a win at home to Middlesbrough. A win here would set them up well for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, the hosts showed great resolve midweek to beat QPR 3-2 with a last minute goal from Jake Livermore sealing all three points.

Both teams will have eyes on the three o'clock kick-offs with Leeds facing off against Bolton and Norwich playing Bristol City. If either side drop points it would only heap more pressure onto the late kick-off.

With two free-scoring sides facing off both teams to score at a price of 4/6 (1.67) looks a banker, but the might be too short for most to consider as a single wager. More value is to be found in the over 2.5 goals market where odds of 10/11 (1.91) are available with bet365.

There is a wide array of attacking talent on show with Jay Rodriguez, Billy Sharp, Gary Madine and Dwight Gayle all likely to play. With O'Connell potentially out injured West Brom may have an easier time in the final third whereas the Blades can usually be relied on against any opposition.

With two of the highest scoring teams in the Championship facing off, a price of 10/11 (1.91) on over 2.5 goals looks to be great value.
