Philippe Coutinho has returned to Liverpool - but the Brazil superstar is not set for another spell at Anfield.

After five impressive years at Liverpool, Coutinho moved to Catalan giants Barcelona in January for £145million.

On Wednesday night, the Brazilian was back on Merseyside for the birthday party of Roberto Firmino's wife, Larissa Pereira.

Some of the party, which appeared to be an all-white affair, was captured on video, with the likes of Firmino and Alberto Moreno posting clips on their Instagram stories.

Coutinho was seen smiling alongside his compatriot Firmino, as well as the likes of Moreno and fellow Brazilian Fabinho.

'I've missed you so much brother,' Moreno wrote on his Instagram story to accompany a clip of him laughing and joking alongside Coutinho.

Pereira's party featured a live performance from a band and the Liverpool stars past and present were seen enjoying the music on Wednesday night.

Coutinho still plays with Fabinho and Firmino for the Brazil national team, while Moreno spent four years playing alongside him at Anfield.

Despite a recent injury, the 26-year-old has made 20 appearances for Barcelona this season. He has scored five goals and picked up four assists.

Before leaving in January, Coutinho played 201 games for Liverpool, a spell which saw him net 54 goals and 45 assists.
