The 22-year-old made only two senior appearances under manager Pep Guardiola after joining the club from Velez Sarafield for about £8M in January 2023. City have made a small profit on the defender as he joins Serie A side Como for a fee worth up to £13M.
His appearances for the club amount to 25 minutes on the pitch for City but he did spend time on loan. In the 2023-24 season he went on loan at Las Palmas in La Liga and the 2024-25 campaign he was at Como, making 26 appearances as he helped the side to a top half finish.
Perrone sent a brief message to supporters before leaving the side who has been deemed surplus to requirement by Guardiola who stated earlier this season that he has “too many players” and wants to work with a smaller group.
"My time at Manchester City has come to an end but I'd like to thank everyone at the club for their support and guidance," said Perrone.
"I am excited for this new adventure and I wish Pep Guardiola and the players every success in the future."
City are willing to sell Jack Grealish and James McAtee after letting go of Kevin de Bruyne and Kyle Walker in what is looking like a new era for the club with a stream of fresh talent to boost City's title chances ahead of the new season.
