Darwin Nunez could be ruled out of Liverpool's trip to Arsenal on Sunday after suffering a foot injury against Chelsea.
The striker had to leave Anfield in a protective boot on Wednesday night after the Reds' 4-1 win over Chelsea and has had an x-ray taken.
Jurgen Klopp said: 'Someone stepped on his foot. He left the stadium in a boot and it was not a football boot. Nothing broken the x-rays are clear, but we have to see if he can get his foot back into a boot.'
Nunez's form has picked up recently. He registered an assist against Chelsea and scored twice in the prior league game against Bournemouth.
He took 11 shots against Chelsea and made history by hitting the woodwork four times.
He played the full match against the Blues and was a constant thorn in their side but couldn't find the back of the net.
Klopp's side boosted their advantage over chasers Manchester City to five points but have played one game more than them.
Arsenal know they would fall eight points foul of Liverpool if they are beaten at the Emirates this weekend and will welcome any advantage they can get.
Liverpool's performances have not been rocked by Klopp's shock announcement that he will leave the club at the end of the season, which came last week.
They beat Norwich 5-2 in the FA Cup - a game in which Nunez also scored - to brush away any fears of a slump immediately after his bombshell reveal, and then acked that up with an assertive win over Chelsea.
