Chelsea defender David Luiz is known for his style and showmanship on the pitch - and he has brought it to his personal life as well.
The Brazilian proposed to girlfriend Sara Madeira in a video posted to social media on Thursday.
Luiz was backed up by silver fireworks and a lights show as he went down on one knee to ask Madeira to marry him - and she said yes.
The clip was shared to Instagram by video-sharing app Otro, who wrote: 'We hear wedding bells! David Luiz proposed in emphatic style. Congrats guys!'
Madeira, a Portuguese dentist, has been dating David Luiz since his days at Paris Saint-Germain in 2014.
The couple regularly appear together in loved-up pictures posted to the footballer's social media accounts.
Luiz is able to celebrate with Madeira this week as he has not been called up to the Brazil squad for friendlies against Panama and the Czech Republic.
