Manchester United full-back Demetri Mitchell is wanted on loan by Bolton Wanderers.

The 21-year-old also has interest from Hearts where he impressed on loan last season.

Mitchell has been part of Jose Mourinhos' squad pre-season but accepts he will gain more regular game time away from Old Trafford this season.

However, there is no rush on him leaving for Bolton today as Championship clubs can sign loans up until August 31.

Mitchell is likely to be a long way behind Ashley Young and Luke Shaw in the fight for the left-back position at Old Trafford.

The youngster made his debut for United on the final day of the 2016/2017 at home to Crystal Palace but has made no appearances since.

Mitchell scored once in 12 games for Scottish Premier League side Hearts after joining in January last season.

Bolton have made 11 signings so far this summer, with Erhun Otzhumer, Jack Hobbs, Marc WIlson, Jason Lowe, Gary O'Neil, Clayton Donaldson, Stephen Duke-McKenna, Joe Pritchard and Pawel Olkowski all joining on free transfers.

Josh Magennis and Yanic Wildschut cost fees from Charlton and Norwich respectively.
