Not long now until EFL Cup third round kicks-off which will see top-flight clubs Manchester United, Arsenal, Burnley, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City enter the tournament.
The EFL Cup third round will put extra strain on Arsenal and Chelsea who have played Europa League and Premier League games in a much shorter time period than the rest. However, its fair to say Maurizio Sarri's side have got it harder as they face Liverpool in their most difficult test yet whilst Gunners face Brentford.

When does the third round start?
The first lot of matches for EFL Cup third round will take place on Tuesday 25 September, second lot taking place on Wednesday 26 September and final game on Tuesday 2 October.

Which matches will be trialling VAR?
Six Carabao Cup third round matches will be officiated with the use of video assistant referee.
This is two more matches than the previous round which saw VAR used for fixtures at Premier League grounds Leicester, Fulham, Bournemouth and Everton.
