While some of football's biggest names are bidding to make history at the Euros and Copa America amid the sport's hectic schedule, their counterparts are certainly lapping up every minute of their precious off-season break.

Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, whose Norway side failed to qualify for the Euros, has been making the most of his time off in Mykonos as talk continues to swirl surrounding his future with some of Europe's biggest clubs in pursuit of his signature.

The 20-year-old goalscoring sensation took to Instagram on Thursday afternoon to make everyone feel that little bit jealous, posting a picture of himself soaking up the sun by the pool.

Jesse Lingard, who endured the heartbreak of missing out on England's Euros squad, has been getting over his exclusion by relaxing in Mykonos too with some familiar faces.

Lingard, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham from Manchester United, enjoyed a night together with team-mate Anthony Martial and former colleague Ashley Young at celebrity chef Salt Bae's Nusr-Et Steakhouse.

He posted a picture of himself on Instagram with Young and Martial at Salt Bae's restaurant, alongside the picture: 'My Brothers'.

But while Haaland and Co opted for full relax mode, others are making sure they are in absolute tip-top shape when the new season rolls around.

English duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dele Alli are building up their fitness ahead of the new Premier League season, which begins in the middle of August.

Alexander-Arnold let Liverpool and England fans know that he has begun his recovery from his thigh injury, which agonisingly forced him out of the Euros during the build-up fixtures.

The Liverpool right back posted photos of him working out while on holiday, alongside the caption: 'Road to recovery'.

Meanwhile for Alli, he is stepping up his fitness ahead of the new season for different reasons - as he looks to force his way back into Tottenham's starting XI following a difficult season in north London, which also saw him lose his place in the England set-up.

Alli, who was axed by Jose Mourinho for much of last season, is currently out in Dubai making sure he is ready to be firing from all cylinders when the 2021-22 season gets underway.

Alli recently posted a video on Instagram of him running with resistance straps wrapped around him in the sun in Dubai, alongside the caption: 'The graft doesn't stop.'

Furthermore, the likes of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi have also been quick to jet off into the sun.

Abraham has been unwinding with his girlfriend Leah Monroe while Guendouzi has been soaking up the sun with his wife Mae Rfsk in Corsica.
