How much Bruno Fernandes will earn if he completes Man Utd transfer

Bruno Fernandes is set to double his wages if he completes a summer transfer to Manchester United .

Reports in Portugal claim the Red Devils have struck an agreement to sign the free-scoring midfielder, but Sporting Lisbon want to hold off until after their Super Cup clash with Benfica on Sunday to confirm the deal.

According to A Bola , Fernandes is set to earn €5million (£4.55m) per season before tax at Old Trafford, equating to around £2m a year after tax.

That will more than double his current post-tax salary of around £1m, equating to a £87.5k-per-week deal to move to the Premier League.

Whilst it would signal a major increase in earnings for Fernandes, 22, it would see him fall well short of the top earners at Old Trafford.

Alexis Sanchez remains on around £350k-per-week, with Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, David de Gea and Romelu Lukaku all on more than £200k per week.

Fernandes' reported wage would see him earn slightly more than the likes of Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof and place him as around the 14th highest earner in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad.
