Birmingham City wonderkid Jude Bellingham 'will become Borussia Dortmund's record signing this summer' after the German club saw off competition from Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 16-year-old has been in high demand from some of Europe's leading clubs after a superb breakthrough season in the Championship.
But, according to German outlet Sport Bild, Dortmund have won the race for his signature and are prepared to break their own club record transfer fee to get him.
They report a fee of around €35million (£30.5m) with the deal expected to be completed once the summer window opens.
Bellingham, who has scored three goals and contributed three assists in 31 Championship matches for the Blues this season, would certainly fit into Dortmund's model of sourcing talented young players and developing them into stars.
They did the same with Jadon Sancho following his move from Manchester City and are now working on taking Norwegian striker Erling Braut Haaland to the next level.
Bellingham has been linked with Premier League giants Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea, with Real Madrid and Barcelona also in the picture for the teenager.
The midfielder has been in Birmingham's academy since the age of eight and made his first team debut at the age of 16 years and 38 days at the beginning of the season.
He has since become a regular in the Birmingham side with Pep Clotet speaking highly of him on numerous occasions.
Bellingham has also been capped for the England under-16 and under-17 sides over the past year.
