Nottingham Forest sign Lorenzo Lucca on loan.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:

Nottingham Forest is pleased to confirm the signing of Lorenzo Lucca, who joins from Napoli on loan, with the Club holding an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

The Italian striker enjoyed a fine season in the Italian top flight in 2024/25 and was Udinese’s top scorer, netting 14 times. Having initially joined on loan from Pisa, Lucca registered 29 goal involvements in his 75 appearances across two seasons for Udinese.

Consistent form for Le Zebrette earned the 25-year-old five caps for the national team, as well as a move to Antonio Conte’s Napoli in the summer of 2025. He now heads to Trentside in a loan move that could become permanent at the end of the current campaign.

Standing at 6ft 7in, Lucca is known for his link up play and ability to dominate aerial duels. In joining Forest, the forward leaves his homeland for the second time, having spent the 2022/23 season with Ajax. He will wear the number 20 shirt for the Reds.

Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar said: “Lorenzo is a player who adds specific qualities to our team, and we are really pleased he has joined us. Having played at the top level in different countries, he arrives with a good blend of experience and scope to continue developing as a player.

“Everyone at the Club welcomes Lorenzo, and we are all looking forward to seeing the impact he can have for the rest of the season.”
