Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger were seen exchanging words on the pitch after the Spanish giants' Champions League triumph

Pep Guardiola was seen blowing kisses to Antonio Rudiger as tempers boiled over following Manchester City's exit from the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid.
City headed into Tuesday night's game needed to overturn a 3-0 deficit from last week's first leg in Spain. But they left with a mountain to climb when Bernardo Silva was sent off after 20 minutes and eventually succumbed to a 2-1 defeat on the night, losing 5-1 on aggregate.
The final whistle was followed by clashes on the field involving Guardiola and Rudiger, with the latter visibly upset with the Manchester City manager as he approached to shake his hand.
City defender Nathan Ake and Real manager Alvaro Arbeloa intervened after words were exchanged with Rudiger continuing to shout in Guardiola's direction as he was led away.
And new footage of the exchange, which has already gone viral on social media, show Guardiola blowing kisses behind the back of the former Chelsea defender after they were separated.
Neither Guardiola or Rudiger shed any light on the incident post-match. The Spaniard and City will now lick their wounds before a showdown with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final this weekend.
The Gunners are nine points clear of Guardiola and Co at the Premier League summit and are still alive and kicking in the Champions League after beating Bayer Leverkusen over two legs to advance to the tournament quarter-finals.

"We will challenge against the best team in England, so far, the best team in Europe, look at the results in the group stage, they have been the first, they’ve maybe lost three or four games this season," Guardiola said after the Real Madrid game.
"It’s the best, challenge them how we are, compete with them, we’ll have to see, after one or two weeks we play them in the Premier League and see. Football is that."
