Vice-president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Antonio Suarez Santana has been charged with fraud.
Suarez Santana, who is the right-hand man of RFEF president Luis Rubiales, has been accused of allowing a colleague at the Canary Islands Federation to pocket money that was meant to go towards building new pitches.
This is all according to El Mundo, who say that the Canary Islands Federation also tricked the RFEF into a subsidy for the construction of an artificial pitch.
Rubiales has defended his comrade, who will be put in front of the National Audience on January 21.
