Arsenal transfer news: Nicolas Pepe, Under & Nkunku talk intensifies

  /  autty

You will struggle to find an Arsenal fan anywhere who doesn't think some serious improvements are required at the Emirates this summer.

Especially in defence where the Gunners have looked less than convincing all season.

The January transfer window may have been and gone but it appears the club are already hunting for their summer buys.

Manager Unai Emery is already thinking ahead as the he plots a bigger challenge next season with the club having an up and down first season under their new boss.

But who are the players who the boss has been keeping a watchful eye over?

We've been keeping a very close eye on things as the speculation keeps on coming.

Here are the stories to catch our eye....

Arsenal's Pepe talk

The club have been given a boost in their pursuit of Nicolas Pepe.

Lille manager Christophe Galtier believes the forward is ready to take the next step and join a high level club.

Arsenal are keen but so are Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

But the sticking point is the asking price - Lille are said to want around £60 million, and that's a price clubs don't want to pay.

Arsenal would struggle to get anywhere near that and expecting the asking price to drop.

Under in?

Arsenal have apparently made a move for Roma's Cengiz Under.

According to Calciomercato, a bid of around £26 million has been submitted for the forward.

But Under is valued at over £35m by the Italian club and an agreement is still some way off.

He has also been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea .

Nkunku being noticed

Paris Saint-Germain will not stand in Christopher Nkunku's way if he want to join Arsenal.

But the French champions are reportedly unimpressed by the size of the Gunners' early offers.

Midfielder Nkunku, 21, fears for his future in Paris and isn't happy about his lack of first team action
