Atletico to face Lokomotiv without any fears of suspensions for their players

Wednesday's clash with Lokomotiv Moscow at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano is a big one with a victory required to see Atletico Madrid progress in the Champions League, but they do so without any fears of suspensions for their players.

Failure to win, and victory for Bayer Leverkusen at home to an already qualified Juventus, would leave Atletico in the Europa League.

But Diego Simeone can be calm in the knowledge that none of his players are at risk of suspension for a third yellow card, with all 10 of the Atletico players to have been booked so far only having been shown a yellow card once each.

Diego Costa was the first, against Juventus at home, whilst Thomas Partey and Felipe followed in Moscow and Koke was booked at the Metropolitano against Bayer Leverkusen.

Jan Oblak and Alvaro Morata saw yellow in Germany and last time out, in Turin, Mario Hermoso, Renan Lodi, Saul Niguez and Hector Herrera were all booked.

No-one is at risk of missing a knock-out tie if shown one yellow card.
