Barcelona are extremely interested in bringing Junior Firpo to the Camp Nou this summer to provide immediate cover for Jordi Alba at left-back, as well as being the Catalan's long-term replacement.
Junior, who will turn 23 in August, has been followed by Barcelona for some time and is their first choice left-back in the transfer window.
Filipe Luis is no longer an option, leaving the Blaugrana to negotiate with Real Betis over Junior's 50 million euro release clause.
Betis are open to talks and have already signed a replacement in Alfonso Pedraza, who has joined on loan with an option to buy.
Even if Betis want another player in exchange, Barcelona are ready to offer Marc Cucurella, once they buy him back from Eibar, and Juan Miranda. Either of these players would lower the fee Barcelona would have to pay.
