Hector Bellerin surprised a group of Arsenal supporters in the United States by joining them at their local pub for the club's pre-season clash with Colorado Rapids.

The Spain international, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, headed down to the Fox and Hounds in Los Angeles, where he joined the LA branch of the Gunners' supporters club.

Footage inside showed the right back joining in with chants as they watched the friendly on a giant screen.

Bellerin also posed for pictures, and was seen smiling with an 'Arsenal Los Angeles' scarf, as well as joining the throng of supporters outside for a group shot.

The experience was made all the better by the result, with Unai Emery's men getting their pre-season tour off to a winning start with a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Bukayo Saka and James Olayinka put Arsenal ahead before the break, with Gabriel Martinelli adding a third just after the hour mark.

Meanwhile, Bellerin is making strong progress in his bid to return from his cruciate ligament injury.

He was injured in January, when he left the field during Arsenal's 2-0 win at home to Chelsea, but has now returned to training.

Pictures on Arsenal's Twitter on Monday showed the 24-year-old kicking a ball for the first time since his rehabilitation.

No comeback date has been set as yet for his return to first team action.
