Brazilian giants Corinthians have been handed a potential boost in their reported bid to bring Paul Pogba to Sao Paulo, with an escort website offering some financial aid.
Paul Pogba is set to return to the grass after his four-year drugs ban was slashed to just 18 months earlier this year, meaning that he could make his comeback as early as March 2025.
The French World Cup winner was on the books at Juventus when he made his last appearance back in September 2023, but has since parted ways with the Italian giants.
As such, there have been numerous links with clubs across Europe, with Marseille one destination that has cropped up, former West Ham cult icon Dimitri Payet endorsing a possible move already.
Meanwhile a shocking switch to Manchester City - the arch rivals of his former club Man United - had emerged as a reported option, though the player is not thought to be keen to return to Manchester.
Now, though, Corinthians' shock interest in the player would appear to have received a boost, with escort website Fatal Model believed to have offered the club around £515,000-a-month ($R4million) to help facilitate the move.
According to Brazilian outlet Portal Leo Dias, Fatal Model have made clear their interest in aiding Corinthians in this venture.
Fatal Model already has links in Brazilian football, notably as a sponsor for Serie A outfit Vitoria, and their director Nina Sag has described Corinthians as a club 'already on our list of interests'.
'We would like to express our interest in actively contributing to making this operation possible, which certainly represents a unique opportunity for everyone involved,' said Sag.
'Fatal Model has always supported sports. This time we saw an opportunity to strengthen ties with a club that was already on our list of interests.'
Portal Leo Dias adds that the board of Fatal Model had already begun talks with Corinthians several months ago during a visit to the club's headquarters.
The publication also adds that Augusto Melo - Corinthians' president - is very keen to bring the player to the club.
Pogba reportedly told influencer Luva de Pedreiro he would be keen to link up with Memphis Depay in Sao Paulo, and joked he would accept a contract 'for free', though it would likely go without saying that Pogba would command very high wage packet.
