David Silva shows he's still got it

On one of his last appearances at the Etihad Stadium, David Silva put in a vintage display as Manchester City beat Bournemouth 2-1 on Wednesday.

The Spaniard, who is leaving City at the end of the season after a decade at the club, scored one and assisted another in the first half.

The 34-year-old opened the scoring for the hosts with a spectacular freekick just six minutes into the game.

Shortly before the break, Silva set up Gabriel Jesus for the second, earning himself his 93rd Premier League assist in the process.

That leaves him sixth in the all-time standings in England's top flight, with Ryan Giggs in first place with 162 assists.

David Brooks pulled a goal back towards the end of the second half but couldn't do enough to haul themselves any closer to survival as they stay in the bottom three.

Meanwhile, City edge closer to becoming the highest scoring team in Europe this season having netted 93 league goals in 36 games.

Bayern Munich ended their Bundesliga campaign on 103 goals, while Atalanta have five matches left to add to their tally of 93 in Serie A.
