Manchester United fans have once again criticised Harry Maguire after his shocking performance against Southampton.
The United captain has come in for some intense criticism in recent weeks after some dismal individual form has coincided with a particularly bleak run for the Red Devils as a club.
The 1-1 draw with the Saints on Saturday was no different as United supporters have questioned the England internationals display.
Supporters are now urging interim head coach Ralf Rangnick to drop the centre-back to help improve their fortunes as they push for a top four finish this season.
One fan stated: 'I really want to see Lindelof get a proper run of games. Maguire has been making mistake after mistake and does not deserve to start, arm band or not.'
Another fan said: 'He was expecting Broja to go down the line there, committed himself fully and was too slow to turn and adjust. We're going nowhere with this guy, he's a hindrance to the team in this form.'
One passionate fan took it to a higher level and believes Manchester United should look to sell Maguire, who they signed for £80million from Leicester City back in 2019.
'He needs to be sold. There is no point desperately clinging on to the hope that he is good enough. Let's cut our losses and move on.'
The Red Devils have won just two of their last six Premier League fixtures, leaving one fan to simply say Maguire sums up the club at the moment, and has even compared the 28-year-old to disaster trialist William Prunier from the 1990s.
'He perfectly sums us up as a club at the moment. He's the biggest joke in the league week in and week out. Any other big club would have dropped him months ago, yet we made him captain. Up there with William Prunier for me.'
