Inter have reportedly upped their bid for Romelu Lukaku to £75m (€83m), but it is still short of Manchester United's £80m (€89m) valuation.

According to The Sun and The Times, Inter are now prepared to offer £60m up front, with £15m to follow in bonuses.

However, the newspapers report United are still not budging and want the Nerazzurri to commit to meeting their asking price in full.

The Sun, meanwhile, claims there is already discord between the Beneamata and new boss Antonio Conte over the striker.

Running the story as an exclusive, it claims Conte is 'fuming' with his club's failure to land the Belgian and 'smarting behind the scenes'.

He would have even refused to do more Press because 'the situation is not what he was promised'.

It is understood Suning Group does not believe the 26-year-old is worth the kind of money being quoted.

Lukaku, meanwhile, has missed the Red Devils' first two preseason friendlies and will not face Inter on Saturday with a minor injury.
