Italian media starts to point to Ronaldo's lack of goals: 'CR 5.5'

The sporting press in Italy have pointed to Ronaldo's lack of goals since joining Juventus and to his 5.5 score in Fantacalcio, the most average score a player can get.

Cristiano Ronaldo has played three games for Juventus so far and still hasn't scored. Sorrentino repelled him in the first game against Verona and in the second against Lazio, he could only manage an assist for Mario Mandzukic. His boss, Allegri, even says he has little chance of scoring like he didn in Spain.

After the third strike for the Portuguese when he drew another blank against Parma, the Italian media has started to point the finger. 'CR 5.5' says Corriere dello Sport referring to the rating they gave the player after the game.

That figure refers to Fantacalcio, the fantasy football game played in Italy. 5.5 is the score given to the most inconsequential players who have little or no input in any given game. It's also a play on the famous CR7 moniker.

Meanwhile, Benzema is joint topscorer in LaLiga with four goals in three games after his brace against Leganes on Saturday and Bale has scored in each of his first three games in the league this season. There is little doubt that the goals will come, but for now, Ronaldo's move to Juventus is getting attention for all the wrong reasons and it won't be going anywhere until he lands one.
