Olympique de Lyon's chairman, Jean-Michel Aulas, has put a price on his team's left back. Ferland Mendy is wanted by a host of sides next summer and one of those is FC Barcelona. Lyon and Barça meet in the knockout rounds of the Champions League and the two matches could be something of an audition for the left back.
According to information obtained by 'Paris United', Aulas is willing to let Mendy go in the summer for a fee in the region of €35m-40m.
Mendy is someone Barça have been tracking for a while now. He was mentioned as a possible replacement for Lucas Digne last summer, with Jordi Alba being the only senior left back at the club. He has all the qualities Valverde is looking for: he's technically sound, attacks space and has the speed to get away from his markers.
