Match Report

In scoring, the Frenchman became just the second player in the era of three points for a win to net in each of his first three home Serie A appearances for the Milanese giants, after only Mario Balotelli had done so previously.

Giroud's goal came early on in the first half, inside the opening quarter of an hour, as he found a bit of space at the back post to turn in from close range after a corner had been flicked on by Rade Krunic.

Torino showed fight but were unable to get themselves back on level terms, despite the best efforts of substitutes Dennis Praet and Antonio Sanabria, with the former crashing a shot off the crossbar in the second half.

The win allows AC Milan to sit temporarily clear as outright leaders of Serie A, though Napoli can restore parity with the Rossoneri when they face Bologna on Thursday.
