Santi Aouna is reporting that Thomas Tuchel is Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s priority to replace Christophe Galtier on the sidelines at Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Aouna, Al-Khelaïfi, the president of PSG, is in daily discussions with the former manager of Les Parisiens about a potential return to the Parc des Princes in the case of Galtier’s possible departure. Tuchel won two Ligue 1 titles with PSG between 2018 and 2020. On top of the daily contact between Tuchel and Al-Khelaïfi, there is also contact with the German manager’s entourage.

However, the Emir of Qatar, Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, dreams of replacing the underfire Galtier with Zinédine Zidane, who hasn’t been in work since departing Real Madrid. The Frenchman had hopes of succeeding Didier Deschamps as manager of Les Bleus, but his chances have been dashed by the latter’s recent extension, which runs until 2026.

Should Zidane arrive, it would almost certainly spell the end of Luís Campos’ time at the club. The Portuguese freelancer is currently a sporting advisor at the club, but according to Foot Mercato, is in the hot seat after overseeing two underwhelming transfer windows.
