The Selecao won the game 1-0 thanks to a penalty from Neymar, who was involved in a controversial incident with the Uruguayan in the final moments.
Cavani was nutmegged as he attempted to win the ball from the Brazil star and the referee then whistled for a foul as Neymar rolled around on the floor, performing two major rolls for a tackle in which the contact was slight.
The former Napoli man protested to referee Craig Pawson about Neymar's exaggeration and was reprimanded.
Cavani then went to offer his hand to his club colleague, only to have Neymar pull his own hand away in anger at the incident.
