According to RMC Sports, Mohamed Simakan (24) and Al Nassr have reached an agreement with the centre-back, who is expected to travel to the Gulf State to complete his medical tomorrow.
The Saudi Pro League outfit had already reached an agreement worth €45m with RB Leipzig for the signing of French centre-back Mohamed Simakan (24), according to a report from L’Equipe earlier this evening, and personal terms were all that was left before a total agreement could be reached.
Simakan had been a target for FC Barcelona but the Catalan club have been warded off in their attempt to sign the defender after Leipzig revealed that they would not accept anything lower than €50 million – a price considered too steep with Barcelona’s current financial situation. It appears the Red Bull-owned Bundesliga has softened the stance since. Simakan is tied with Leipzig over a contract set to expire in 2027.
RMC Sports notes that RB Leipzig will replace Simakan with a former target for Paris Saint-Germain, Lutsharel Geertruida (24).
