The Premier League’s Christmas and New Year fixtures are finally set to be announced on Thursday – with four back-to-back live games and a 10-hour feast of football on Boxing Day to become a reality.

Online streaming service Amazon Prime Video, who won the rights to show the round of matches played on December 26 and 27, will be offering up a feast of festive football.

It is understood the kick-off times on Boxing Day will be 12pm, 3pm, 5.30pm and 8pm.

This means armchair fans will have the option of sitting back and watching coverage from midday until late at night.

It was rumoured on Wednesday night that there were last-minute talks held on Wednesday over whether Amazon could show five back-to-back games on Boxing Day but they proved complicated.

Amazon will also be showing the round of fixtures due on December 3 and 4, with games including Manchester United versus Tottenham and the Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton.

Sky Sports and BT Sport are also set to announce their own TV selections, and it comes following an outpouring of anger from fan groups.

The selections for December and January were originally supposed to come out on October 11, rather than Thursday.
