Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City at risk of Champions League expulsion

As the Super League controversy continues, UEFA Executive Committee member Jesper Moller has delivered a killer blow to three of this season's Champions League semi-finalists, indicating that they could be thrown out of the competition.

Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City are three of the 12 founding members of the Super League and are also due to play in this season's Champions League semi-finals.

"The clubs must go, and I expect that to happen on Friday," Moller told broadcaster DR on Monday.

"Then we have to find out how to finish (this season's) Champions League tournament. There is an extraordinary executive committee meeting on Friday."

It is also being reported that Arsenal and Manchester United, two more Super League founding members, would face a similar fate in the Europa League.
