There has been a dramatic turn of events concerning the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, after the news that Real Madrid have dropped his release clause from 1,000 million euros to just 120m in order to facilitate his departure.
Agreed between the end of January and the beginning of February, the new clause wouldn't apply to Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain and they would still have to pay the previous amount agreed in the Portuguese's contract were they interested in the player's services.
'OK Daily' revealed that, before the Champions League final in Kiev, three Premier League teams (Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea) and one from Serie A (Milan) told Jorge Mendes that they would be in a position to negotiate a transfer on the basis of a 120m euro transfer fee and a yearly salary to Ronaldo of 40m euros net.
